			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Historic Massie Heritage Center Re-Opens Museum to Visitors and Community after $1 Million Restoration Project</span></p>
<p><strong>FREE Admission April 26<sup>th</sup> – 29th</strong></p>
<p>Massie Heritage Center, Savannah’s museum for history and architecture located on Calhoun Square, will open its doors to the public with Grand Re-Opening Celebration activities planned over 4 days, Thursday, April 26<sup>th</sup> – Sunday, April 29<sup>th</sup>.</p>
<p>Guests will discover new interactive exhibits including a laser show of the rebuilt three-dimensional model of James E. Oglethorpe’s famous city plan in <em>Savannah: An Intelligent Grid</em>, and life-size classical structures from around the world which demonstrate the impact on Savannah’s own architecture in the <em>Classically Inspired</em> exhibit.</p>

You will be treated to a lesson in etiquette, proper tea time conversation, games and entertainment of the Victorian era as well as a personalized tour of Massie. Plan a mother-daughter adventure, a family outing or a <em>&#8216;Ladies Afternoon&#8217;</em> for a delightful treat at one of Savannah&#8217;s best kept secrets. </p>

A project sponsored jointly by the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools and the Georgia Historical Society, the Georgia Heritage Celebration <span id="more-857"></span>culminates in the Georgia Day Parade with costumed figures from Georgia&#8217;s history, along with children in colonial apparel, on February 12, the day of the founding of Georgia. Contact your school&#8217;s social studies contact person for detailed information about the Georgia Heritage Celebration.</p>
