The City Zoo
The City Zoo is a visual discovery walking tour of animals, shapes, and textures in the architectural details of the built environment in and around Calhoun Square. Often a first visit downtown for very young children, this program strives to show children their city’s unique historic district in a fun and engaging tour.

May Day 2012
A traditional May festival coordinated through the Massie Center, this program has been a Massie School event since the 1850s. Each year, elementary school children from the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools gather for this multicultural event to perform a variety of ethnic dances, in addition to the May Pole Dance, in Calhoun Square just in front of Massie School.
