Savannah's Unique City Plan

Grades 6 - 12

This program is designed to help students understand how the city of Savannah is organized, based on the original plan of James Oglethorpe.  It focuses on the ward as the basic building block of the city and explores the regularities (and the irregularities) of the city as it was built and grew.  Students will participate in classroom-based activities before mapping a ward.
