The City Zoo
PK - 1st grade

The City Zoo is a visual discovery walking tour of animals, shapes, and textures in the architectural details of the built environment in and around Calhoun Square.  Sometimes a first visit downtown for very young children, this program strives to show children their city’s unique historic district in a fun and inviting tour.  Students are asked to identify various animals and shapes as they encounter them.  Finally, they are invited to “capture” the animal of their choice by drawing and coloring it.
