Massie 2011-2012 Field Trip Programs
The mission of Massie Heritage Center is to preserve the past for the future by educating and engaging museum visitors in Savannah’s history. Our programs are specifically targeted to the Georgia Performance Standards for social studies at each grade level and are designed to engage our students in hands-on learning in an authentic real world environment.From our nineteenth century classroom to the streets of historic Savannah, students participate in pre-trip activities prior to their visit, engage in on-site activities and create post-trip culminating projects when they return to their school site.
