Savannah by Satellite
     Grades 4 –8

The north-south streets of Savannah’s Landmark Historic District become meridians while its east-west streets become parallels as students use their geography skills and GPS devices to navigate their way through Savannah’s wards.  Topics include marking longitude and latitude, directions, map skills, and the five themes of geography.  While experiencing the practical application of geography skills, students will learn about the cultural geography and history of their city.
